Tucked deep in a hidden garden, legend says there was a whole grove of these magic fruits that were guarded by Hesperides and a thousand headed dragon. Many cultures have their own version of this hero’s journey to snatch one of these “golden fruits” as a test of endurance, and they were thought to grant immortality to those who consumed them in Greek mythology.
