A light blue glass cab hangs from a thick Crescent Moon and hand fabricated chain, measuring 16 inches from end to end, and can be worn shorter if the wearer chooses as the fish hook style clasp slides through the links. The colors in the glass are a striking color with a swirl of purple and reflect the light just so. It is forged as an ode to the Blueberry, said to have been plucked from the stars themselves and a gift from the Heavens by North American Native tribes, and in Finnish folklore they are seen as a symbol of the long, dark winters and the bright, short summers. The berries are said to be able to protect people from evil spirits and are traditionally used in a ritual called “Pikku-ukko" in which people place blueberries around their homes to ward off evil.
