Quinces are one of the oldest know fruits and contain a higher concentration of pectin that most. Seen as a symbol of love and associated with Venus in Roman mythology, and Aphrodite in Greece. When the fruit is ripe it almost seems to glow on the tree, and this neck cuff sits just so reflecting the light behind the glass cabs with a golden hue. Stars swing beneath the glass, where traditionally there would be a stem and a leaf. It was thought that Witches could turn into the shapes of Quinces, or you could hang them in your doorway for protection, or as a gift traded between lovers to preserve the sweetness of the relationship. This Cuff is an ode to these ancient fruits, and has an open back with an adjustable fit.
