This solid Sterling pendant was created as a part of my upcoming OCEANUS collection, based off the Greek Titan who ruled over the river that encircled the world, said to be the source of all water, sea and fresh alike. Mythology said the Sun, Moon and Stars rose within these waters so they are represented on the back of this hand carved fish. In ancient mosaics depicting Oceanus he is surrounded by water nymphs and various other sea creatures which is where I drew inspiration, in hopes that this one could swim into these unearthed artworks and fit into the array of mythical creatures.

This Pendant was hand carved in jewelers wax and individually sand cast in my studio, using these ancient techniques of casting with very little modern technology brings me closer to the history in which I was inspired. A single Keshi pearl hangs from the fishes mouth, and swings from fire shaped water droplet chain, measuring 18 inches but can be worn shorter if the wearer chooses as the fish hook style clasp slides through the links.
